Probably similar to the reason why calculus has that same effect on most people.
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

Agreed, chem is the ultimate brain pain activator.

Well, chemistry's really a great source of pain for most; could hasten degeneration of glial cells probably.

I find chem easy; it's my microbiology class that's giving me grief this semester.

Funny how people don't get annoyed with questions like these, but they do if a 9th grader has trouble with homework and it's something they learned in 10th grade.

Of course, I have to have a genius IQ to need help. That makes total sense.

BiologyStudent, I don't know what specific fact you are referring to, but here is how to successfully get help on this forum: show that you did something! If you say something like "I tried but failed" I would think you did not try at all. Show what you looked up, what your answer is and how you got to it. Even if your answer is partial or completely wrong, it's ok, as long as you can show you tried. And because you are a high-school freshman and you probably will ask fairly common questions, if you say you haven't been able to find anything, then I honestly will say I don't believe you.

Many enjoys microbio, though some gets sick of the smell of a hay infusion and that gives them a brain pain; well I think it's just a matter of attitude, our study habits and our interests. Although many hates chem but try playing our annually-held CHEMO game, win and claim a prize, a fun way to appreciate chem.
