cytoplasm/cytosol help please!hi, i have looked everywhere to find the functions of cytoplasm and cytosol, but keep getting confused, before i can answer the question am i correct in thinking that cytoplasm is the spaces between the contents of a cell and the cell membrane/plasma membrane and cytosol is the liquid within that space? or am i cracking up?
Re: cytoplasm/cytosol help please! The cytoplasm is essentially everything within the cell membrane excluding the nucleus. And you're right that the cytosol is the liquid portion of the cytoplasm. Cytoplasm is often incorrectly used to refer to the fluid around the organelles and the nucleus, but in fact includes everything but the nucleus within the cell membrane.
Hope that helps, Laura Fancy earning money completing short surveys?
