I was wondering if anyone could tell me in lamens terms what a GTO is? I'm memorizing all this info about it, but I need a better understanding of what it is in general terms... so please as general as you can be, what is a GTO?

it's basically how your body knows how contracted your muscles are. When your muscles stretch, golgi organs in your muscles also stretch. GTOs can basically detect this stretching, and send the info to your brain.
