Please help me to answer these questionsPlease help me to answer this questions:
1.Explain how the axonal resting membrane potentials is restored following action potential depolarization and describe how resting ionic distributions are maintained? 2. What factors determine if action potentials will be generated by a postsynaptic neuron that receives both excitatory and inhibitory input? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Please help me to answer these questionswell, what do you think?

Well, I think, that repolarization, hyperpolarization and sodium-potassium pump plays an important role in restoring resting membrane potential.
An for the second, it is a net summation fo both EPSPs and IPSPs at the axon hillock that will determine of the neuron will be depolarized or hyperpolarized. Please tell me if I am on the right path.. Thanks
