origin of life

hi everyone... i'm pretty new to biology... and i was so glad i found this message board to help me get into it even more... i find i learn biology better when i discuss it with others

so i was reading up on the origin of life, and basically the way i understand it... things started off with the earth's mantle and crust.... with the rising of life from nonliving material...

the earth's mantle and crust released various gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen and other gases...

at this time... there wasn't any free oxygen on the planet... i'm not exactly sure this makes sense, but i guess there's a difference between free oxygen and limited oxygen? anyways, moving on, oxygen (i guess restricted oxygen) then reacted with hydrogen to form water vapour

free atmospheric oxygen was produced, much later, by living organisms and the production of oxygen apparently stopped the process which produced living organisms from non-living substances

basically, that's what i learned from my text book.. the beginning phase of the origin of life, way back when, when life arose from nonliving material... if only i could have seen how this all unfolded, must've looked like a natural warzone at the beginning as life was being formed on earth

oxygen was not produced in large amounts by plants so they would be locked up in oxides and water.

I'm pretty sure the thing with origin of life is that it's kinda undecided, lots of theories that are neither completely proven nor exclusive (so it could have easily evolved both ways!).

I am gonna give an opinions about the topic.
What is life, exactly? Does it always require liquid water and those long carbon molecules? Does life require a cell? Did life begin with a hereditary molecule or with some kind of metabolic chemical reaction? Where did life begin on Earth? Was there a single moment that could be described as the "origin of life," or did life sort of creep into existence gradually?
I think that the origin of life is particularly daunting. Direct evidence of the origin is essentially nonexistent.
It happened too long ago, in too subtle a way. There's no fossil of the first microbe. If there were, some skeptical scientist would surely raise a ruckus, saying."That's just a blob of mud."
I think that No one knows anything about the origin of life.
