crystals are confusing...please help. I have gone through many texts and found four major names of crystals but haven't got their use and occurrences. These are RAPHIDES, CYSTOLITHS, OSTEOLITHS AND HYDROLITHS.What are they?
These aren't major names of crystals so far as I'm concerned. To me. the "major names" would be the seven major crystal classes: triclinic, monoclinic, orthorhombic, trigonal, tetragonal, hexagonal/rhombohedral, or cubic. I gather the crystals you mention have something to do with plants. The first two at any rate are crystalline deposits of calcium salts found in some plants. What's so special about them I couldn't say.
You could try looking on wikipedia or searching google for answers.
