Mystery fungusWe found a fungus in our microbiology class. The sample was taken from a sealed peanut butter jar. We did a bacterial gram stain on it but there was no bacteria, only a lavender spoon like organism which the instructor said was a fungus. The lavender may have been from the crystal violet stain. It looks close to Aspergillus restrictus ior Aspergillus clavatus in shape, only this was smooth all the way around and the head looked hollow like the eye of a needle. Can anyone tell me what this is or how I can find out? Thanks.
Depends... i doubt you will find one online... You should try a bookstore thta sells college books or, if you have such a thing in your country(city) a stor that specialises on botany books. I'm pretty sure you could find a dichotomic key there...
