Influence of size in heart beat

Postby ricardofamaral » Thu Aug 07, 2008 1:02 am

Hi everyone,

Lately I got interested about the influence the size of a person has in its heart beat ratio. I mean, will a taller person have a faster heart beat?
Can anyone help me posting where I can find information about this and more physiological factors that will influence it.

Thanks a lot.

In mammal species, generally smaller size corresponds to faster heart rate, but I don't think that extends to individuals in a single species.
