Is breaking down of alcohol part of assimilation?

Postby xushuhan » Sun Jul 20, 2008 3:00 pm

I understand that assimilation is the utilization by a living organism of absorbed food materials in the processes of growth, reproduction, or repair. However, I am not sure whether or not the breaking down of alcohol in liver is part of assimilation. Your answers are greatly appreciated.

alcohol contains calories.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
