plant electricity <An idea that probably wouldn't work>plants and alge are incredible at caputureing the suns power. and some such as bamboo grow so fast.
it would be neat if we could put some thing on top of a stalk of bamboo for it to push against. And through a series of gears have it turn a generator to lessen or eliminate the amount of fuel burned.
plants stop growing when they hit something, and they try to go round it.

Re: plant electricity <An idea that probably wouldn't work>i appriciate ur imagination, but it may days to charge a single 12 v dc battery by this method
plants like bamboo grow up so fast because they have a better efficiency to produce matter with the same conditions than other plants.
and it's also related to their Auxins (Fithormones), here in my country is an algae (Cochayuyo: Durvillaea antarctica) that can grows 30cm per day. We better keep using plants for food and bio fuels hehe, if we want electricity we can use water, wind, sunlight, etc. ~~Agronomist Engineer, Dekalb Seeds
