I know, maybe I'm asking the wrong people. Most scientist I know (not many though) don't believe in ghosts. However, in my country, Malaysia, and my race in particular, the Malays, ghost stories and the "unknown" conquer many part of our lives. If there's something wrong with a person and it's unexplainable by doctor who treated him/her, then it must be the unknown's work. If there's a missing person, there will be claims that he/she has been hidden by "them". There even a "ghost seeker" team on our national TV, and its running for its (if I'm not mistaken) the 5th season though they never actually capture any ghost on TV.
Recently, I saw a "documentary" about a girl that (they claim) has been possessed by demon and changed her voice and look (though I still look her the same, maybe my TV was broken), acquire supernatural strength to physically battle with the shaman (it's not like she kicked him and he flew to the end of the room) but eventually, the witch doctor somehow calmed the possessed girl and "cured" her by driving the demon away from her. The are also very, very common stories how people (normally girls) being pushed in their bed by demons at night.
For me, I believe the strange girl behaviour must have something to do with either a fungi or other microlife she's sensitive to (this is because to my limited research, I found out that the occurrence of this abnormal phenomena usually at the same place, to the same person. So maybe certain people are sensitive to some mold maybe that lives in certain area that triggers some kind of respond in their brain. This explains why it will not happen to everyone in the same room.) or maybe a psicological cause. Maybe she's trying to attract attention or stress to something and resorted to the thing that is common in her society. Just like (to my knowledge) the Japanese resort to suicide.
For the crushing demons in the bed thing, there must be Physiological thing. Maybe their muscle was too stressed or something causing their body difficult to move and since their subconcious mind (it usually happen just before they were fall asleep or just after they awake) reasons this as a demon's work thus making their eyes seeing something that do not exist. However, why no men ever tell me they have encounter this and only girls from 10 to 25 years old most commonly known to encounter this, I have no answer.
Please, enlighten me. Give me your thought. And pardon my English, it's my second language.
According to my knowledge & what you describe was probably a case of Seizure Disorder. Seizure Disorder often mistaken as some uncanny incident due lack of literacy. In the past, epilepsy was associated with religious experiences and even demonic possession. In ancient times, epilepsy was known as the "Sacred Disease" because people thought that epileptic seizures were a form of attack by demons, or that the visions experienced by persons with epilepsy were sent by the gods. Among animist Hmong families, for example, epilepsy was understood as an attack by an evil spirit, but the affected person could become revered as a shaman through these otherworldly experiences. But I am not quite sure whether it was a Epileptic event or Psychological.

Thanks! I've heard that before too. In a documentary I saw it said that hundreds of people has been killed before for so many reason that believe to demon's work. Abnormality in human body often regarded as a demon transformation thus must be killed. Also, mental and genetic illnesses also treated in inhuman way since it is considered out of this world. Today, science has brought us far, but still some people refuse to accept the truth.
