Identification test for RHIZOBIUM

hi everyone.....

does anyone of you have a clue so as to identify a given bacteria as rhizobium?

i require this test in my project.

please help me out.

just inoculate the mixture/suspension of the root node extract into YEMA (yeast extract mannitol agar) medium added with some kinda of indicator dye (if I'm not mistaken is Congo Red). Then after 48-72h there'll be some colonies there. Rhizobium colonies are the colonies that absorb the red pigment surrounding them. You'll also find another colonies that do not absorb red pigment but do produce slimy layer. Well that's Azotobacter's colony.
