Opening of the coronary artery & larynx

I have two questions, one on the circulatory system and one on the respiratory system. My educated guesses for the questions are below.

1. Why is the opening of the coronary artery behind the flap of the aortic semilunar valve?

This was a question on a test and I received an X for this question. On the test, I wrote: "This is so that blood flow from the left ventricle flows controllably to the coronary artery. If the opening was in front of the semilunar valve, most of the blood from the left ventricle would simply flow into the coronary artery. The aorta and other arteries would not receive enough blood".

2. I am refreshing my memory on the respiratory system, and I know that air must pass through the larynx for sound to be produced. So I am wondering, would we have to be exhaling or inhaling at the moment when air passes through the larynx? Or is only a minute amount of air needed for the larynx to produce sound?

try talking while inhaling. Doesn't work, does it? Don't know what the reason is though...
