ovarian cycts

Postby fireloaded on Sat Jun 18, 2005 3:23 pm

I heard that if a mother suffers from ovarian cysts, her children suffer from that too...i wanna know if this is true and will that have any effect on her sons [they don't have ovaries isn't it?] and daughters
Whatever happens, happens for a good reason.

From what i know this is caused by bacteria(i think it is streptococ, but not sure) so it can transmit to the dauther, but the probability of it happening is probably 1/1000000000000000000. If she has a son he should be safe

I bought a pathologic antomy book today that states that ovarian cysts are a form of benign tumors... I do not know if this is true but if it so than there is no chance the cysts will be passed down

In here many suffer from cystic and Poly Cystic Ovaries...and most of the times there are some relatives or their mothers who had once suffered from the same problem.could it be just a mere coincidence or something else?

Hmm... It could be that their diets are alike. It culd be genetic(though i doubt it). It could be environmental. It could, of course, be a coincidence
