Schleiden and Schwann contribution to Biology

Good morning everyone!
I am doing Biology for my Preliminary HSC and came up with the question in the textbook: "What is the contribution of Schleiden and Schawnn to Biology?" . I know that they proposed the 1st two cell theory but what exactly is the contribution of the theory to the development of Biology. Can someone help?
