Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

A better question for this poll would be "which animal have intelligence most similar to human". But that is kind of dumb too becuause nobody knows what human intelligence is like.

Part of being smart is knowing how to avoid predation. Some organisms do it by simply regrowing parts, as in plants. But you're right, they are different.

The prong honged antelope is still very impressive. A human can go to the gym for hours every week and will won't be able to generate half the mitochondrial density a prong horned antelope can achieve.

Hmm.

Adapting is good but perhaps surviving is better. Some creatures don't need to adapt and are very sucessful. Viruses anyone.

Still heavy debate on whether or not a virus is an organism.

I sometimes wonder: Are we the smartest animals?
I mean, think of it: any animal on earth(including bacteria :) ) developesa in harmony with it's ecosistem except humans: On the discovery channel someone asked the other day "Will Earth survive the human rase?" I don't think so actually... :cry: :cry:
But if we judge by the evolution of the nervous system than dolphins are the winners of the survey for sure.
Here is my idea of a smart animal: In the rain forests lives an animal called the sloth: it sleeps 20h/day and feeds on virtually any kind of leaves: this animal is in complete harmony with it's habitat so(excluding the hypothisis that some human burnes it down) it will live there forever

ALways a good question. But consider this viruses are better adapters, cheetahs are faster, birds can fly, only thing humans can do is invent. But invent they have.

Through inventing humans have become:
Faster than humas(Ferrari :lol: :lol: )
Able to fly(planes)
Very adaptable(descovered fire&other things)
You may be on to something there Inuyasha

If i have time i guess i'll do a report on it. Humans can invent. Can other species invent? I wonder. Could anyone give me a list of species that has invented something to help them survive.

I read about specie of monkeys which smashed insects to create pesticides which it used to kill lice with. But that's perhaps a genetic behaviour.

I can say with some degree of confidence that the Planet Terra will destroy humans long before humans destroy the Planet. I do, however, agree that humans will vastly change the surface of the Planet before we are destroyed...we probably will make it Uninhabitable for Kingdom Anamalia...but this rock is going to be here for a long time after we are gone.
