interpreting a TEM

I know this sounds stupid(mainly because it is)
What might a TEM of a drak circle with a lot of white circles in it represent? I have no idea of the magnification, nor have I ever seen the picture. Any imput would be welcome, although I realize it is next to impossible to deduce anything from this description....

Good guess about the next to impossible to deduce. I guess It would be the image of a round thing that take the stain fairly well with other structures taking it much less on it ;) A scan would be helpful.

I won't be more helpful if you do not guess what my qPCR result curve means without further description :P

Soyou were offered the same challenge as us: identify a picture on a quite short description? Nice to share with us. OK my guess: A filter wheel for the world smallest qPCR thermocycler, able to work with nanoliter reactions. Yeah for cheap, but hard to pipette ;)

White circles = high transmission, so my guess is they are vacuoles or vesicles inside a more electron-dense cell. Mutations in the secretory pathway can cause accumulation of these vesicles (see page three of this pdf).

What TEM you mean? Is it Transmission electron microscopy (TEM)? TEM is a microscopy technique whereby a beam of electrons is transmitted through an ultra thin specimen, interacting with the specimen as it passes through it.

I think opinions on wide circles do count.
