Heterologous expression of Archaeal genes,Hi,
I am interested in the Heterologous expression of an Archaeal gene from a sulfolobus/metallosphaera like species. The organism is a thermo acidophile. Has anyone had any luck using a vendor for archaea or can someone recommend a service. Promab is one company I am considering. They charge 1800 dollars. Are there any services that are more experienced with archaeal genes? What kind of prep do I need. I am hoping just PCR product with the intergenic regions will be all I need to supply but I obviously do not have much experience here. Any good literature? The protein is 540 aa by the way (1730 bp nucleotides) Thank YOu
