CAM and fotorespiration

Hi, I have 1 little question. How CAM plants prevent fotorespiration? or don't they? I understand why in C4 plants fotorespiration doesn't occures, but CAM is mystery for me.

Not prevent, but minimize photorespiration. They concentrate CO2 same as C4 plants, but by a different process. Look up crassulacean acid metabolism for details.

the reason is the same as in C4, only that in CAM there is a temporal separation rather than a spatial one.

But CO2 fixation and calvin cycle proceed in the same mesophill cell. When stomata is closed, O2 concentration and propability for RuBp to bind with O2 is rising. So I think photorespiration is at the same level like in C3 plants
