Question about anaerobic bacteria prd of H2Hello. My teacher recently told us to research about anaerobic bacteria and their reactions (substrates and products). My friends got lactic acid etc and I got hydrogen. I could hardly find anything on google about hydrogen production form bacteria. I need the scientific name of the bacteria and the substrates and products. Thanks for your help! ~*
BTW, can you give me the bacteria that produces hydrogen gas most efficiently?

Look up science vids about anaearobic bacteria at http://www.bioinmotion.com!!!
You are looking for various heterofermentative bacteria such as Clostridium sp.; substrate is usually glucose.
