A High TripI have not been able to be here for a week. Well for two days this weekend, about 7 hours of non-stop beer and pots, some had a yellow monkey at the back, others had a yellow sunshine and red
and we are still high. ---When reason ends, faith begins---
Re: A High TripSurely Jones, it's a big WOW!
Okay; actually I am just playing off atypical here. We had our field trip for two days last weekend in one of the high lands here (Calauan, Laguna). We went to a milking farm (Hacienda Macalauan, Laguna), had some fresh milk and stayed with the cows for some moment. We went then to a refreshing swimming resort along with the students and had stayed there for at least seven hours of swimming, singing and eating. It was so nice to be away for a moment from the usual urban life that I am living right now. How I love to see and feel the nature's wonder and greeneries...breathing the fresh air of the South...the gentle breeze and radiance touched my skin...experiencing once again the life that I had when I was living in our province when I was young. This Friday, we'll have the third trip once again...another high trip Anybody would like to go along with me? ---When reason ends, faith begins---
I have to wake up again tomorrow by 3 or 4 in the morning. If all of you could just go with me. We're going there again; and the third and last trip. I love the fresh air and the way nature touches my heart.

Well, the first two trips were much exciting than of the yesterday. Maybe it was Friday, a working weekday. It would take a year for us to have again the next educational trip; although I do not know if I would be still part of that activity for I might be working already in a hospital by that time.

Last Friday, we held our University Multipurpose Cooperative Annual Conference in Nasugbu, Batangas. We stayed in Chateau Royale resort for two days and one night. The weather there was cool and comfortable. At least for two days, I was away from the scorching temperature in Manila. Travelling and witnessing the beauty of nature is really healing. On the second day, we went to another known site which is the Caleruega Church. http://www.caleruega-philippines.ph
We were not able to have a complete walk around the site for it was raining then. But I really liked the way we ran against the rain--just as we're like stubborn kids who wanted to witness great things even though the weather tells us not to go anymore. There was a wedding taking place by that time. Tomorrow, we will be attending another conference in Isabela and I'll be back by the following week. Hope to be here again soon! ---When reason ends, faith begins---
Re: A High TripWell, I am back again here. I 'll post some pictures in the Geo forum about our trip last week. It was actually the 43rd Biology Teachers Association-Phil (BIOTA-PHIL) Annual Convention held last week in Isabela. The convention was about latest scientific innovations for the benefit of the Filipino progress and welfare, although some included those which were still facing a lot of ethical dilemmas. Everything there were superb and extraordinary for a person like me. It was another one of the wonderful things in this world. On our second day, we went to the second largest dam in Asia--the Magat Dam. This dam was known to be the main supplier of electricity in the entire Luzon area of the Philippines which is currently run by the S.N. Aboitiz Company.
We went then to another province, Quirino. Here, we entered different historical caves. They said that the caves we went through were once occupied by the Japanese during WWII. That was my first time to enter a cave and see for myself. Beautiful stalactites and stalagmites greeted us, with images that you can actually think of through them. Bats were fascinating too yet quite spooky, but that was just a reaction at first. "Duck-walking" was really exhausting, walking like ducks because one of the ceilings of the second cave was so low. We were not able to go to our next destination which were the rapids and falls in the same area since it was dark by five when we went out of the caves. I am having some trouble in attaching some pictures here. I will just probably do it next time that I will be able to be here again. I know too that I won't be able to tell everything about that one-of-the-chances in a lifetime--for there were lots and lots of them, surely there is only one word to summarize them all--BRAVO! ---When reason ends, faith begins---
