Biblical Accuracy??

Postby Jellybeans on Wed Feb 13, 2008 3:00 pm

Yes! the Bible is what Im talking about here... Im not stating here that the bible was inaccurate. What Im trying to realize is that... How is possible that all of these stuffs written in the bible are precise or let me say, accurate? and how is it possible that the creation of man was stated in the bible wherein no one has ever existed since that day of the creation. Who could have proposed this idea?

Anyone has any idea that what we all believe in is not at its pure form?

It is generally believed that the authors of the Bible received revelation from God.
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

And these people encountered God in their lives. God worked in their lives at the same time.

The bible could easily have some accuracy to it, but I believe it may have been glorified to make it seem as though simple natural occurrences were miracles of God.

Geology holds some of the keys to finding out what is inaccurate, like the great flood.

The flood story is more than likely a cultural hold-over; all cultures tell a flood story and in my opinion these stories are descended from a common flood story that was told by the original humans living in Africa.
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

If that is the case there will be geological evidence that can prove if the flood occured when the bible and other religious books says it did.

Your quite the scholar.

Gilgamesh sets out to avoid Enkidu's fate and makes a perilous journey to visit Utnapishtim and his wife, the only humans to have survived the Great Flood who were granted immortality by the gods

I like stories. ;)
The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of my favorites, I like it much more than Noah's Ark.
