Ok, so i do not know how it is for a rat but i know that they resemble very much with humans. Here it is in humans:
The right lung has 3 lobes, the left lung has 2 lobes. This is becuase the heart is orientated towards the left
Hope this is accurate. Let me know if i was right
Regards,
Andrew

Hi....

One lobe on the left and four lobes on the right....there is an accesory lobe, although it may sit closer to the left side, is actually part of the right lung.

So there's a Cranial, Middle, Caudal and Accessory lobe which make up the Right lung, and the left lung does not have multiple lobes.

Were you able to locate them during your dissection?
