Require help identifying animal species from Burma

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

Just wanted to ask the forum's animal experts for help in identifying the frog and beetle in the picture attachments. A friend of mine who is conducting field work along the borders of Chiang Mai province in Thailand and in unnamed forest regions of Burma (I'll ask him where and post here later) sent these pictures and asked for help in identifying them. He believes they may be a new species?

not sure what they are but try typing in burma to the ARKive website search engine(look it up in google under ARKive, its free!) they have images which you can check yours against.
