how does food change into atp?the food you eat is used in the production of energy for your body. describe the pathway that food takes from the time it enters your body until its final form of atp. include all organs and organelles that would be involved in this process. what process is ultimately responsible for making the food? what procces is ultimately responsible for changing the food into atp?

Re: how does food change into atp?Food we eat converts into glucose,triglycerides,aminoacids in the blood steam by the action of digestion process. After dissimilation these monomer units undergo metabolic pathways to yeild energy as ATP. to know how metabolic pathways carried out refer metabolism concepts in google

As for metabolic pathways, glycolysis for an instance or the breaking down of glucose. This takes place within the cytosol.

Cellular respiration cannot be fully understood by somebody who doesn't have basic knowledge in chemistry. For example the hydrogen ions that come into play in the electron transport chain. If you don't know what a hydrogen ion is, you're sure not going to understand all the chemistry that is involved in cellular respiration. Or if you don't know what a concentration gradient is... baby steps. Study a little bit of chemistry first. Know what ions are, know what a concentration gradient is, learn how atoms bond to eachother, and what that means in terms of energy.
