i need help understanding the comparison of the role that white light and the green light plays in photosynthesis.

Well the reason you see plants as green, is because they absorb the other wavelengths of light and reflect the green. So if they're not absorbing the green light, do you think it plays a large role in photosynthesis?

White light is composed of all visible color wavelengths.

"green light" has been filtered so that only the green wavelength is emitted.

Green light is usually not absorbed due green pigments, chlorophyll.
