Populations - Density Independent Population Regulators

Hi, I am curious about what some density independent variables would be that would change a population. Density independent meaning that a given populations birth or death rates change is not do to population density...

Just looking for some examples. Thanks.

ah yes... now i feel like an idiot... well out of curiosity can u think of any biotic factors?
