I need help please!!Hello,
I had a laboratorium classe and I need to make a report in the following subject: "The effect of potassium and abscisic acid on the mechanism of stomatal opening" we were using: KCL 0 10 50 100 200 500 (mM) and ABA zero and 10-3 (M) is there anybody with knowledge that can provide some explanation, information or even some documents about this topic? I would really appreciate some help. Thank you.
well, opening of stomata is due to difference in osmatic concentration.u know[i assume] guard cells r the only epidermal cells that contain chloroplast.during day time, the following events hapen which opens stomatal pore.
synthesis of ATP-driving out of H+ IONS out of guardcells-influx ofK+ IONS ALONG WITH CL- IONS-INCREASE in osmolarity of guard cells-inflow of water-opening of cells due to bulging ABA plays an imp.role in controlling transpiration by influencing the flow of water. UNDRESTAND?[/list]
