Meristematic regions (PLZ HELP!)I have botany homework and i cannot find the information anywhere! Heres the question:
Describe the location and development of meristematic regions in an herbaceous and a woody plant. PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance.

Meristems are tissues composed of undifferentiated cells--immature rather.Active cell division takes place. When these cells differentiate according to their specialized purposes, permanent tissues are developed. Terminal parts of a plant are usually the site of meristems. These are responsible for the growth in the plant itself.
