Postby majid » Wed Oct 17, 2007 10:48 am

Hello every one,

I am searching for camel physiology that includes the adaptation systems of camel on hot environment and its efficient use of water. How the respiratory, alimentary, urinary, and other systems do work to adapt camel on this situation. the water utilization, water conservation, hydration, dehydration, camel other sources of water, water turnover, high electrolytes diet effect and how can be controlled, how is renal function reduce water loss, urea metabolism and acid base balance.

Please, if any one has information about these topics, help me.

This may not help, but often doing as web search using family, genus and/or species names will get you a concentrated list of technical webpages. If you get too many, then you start to add functional words...

Do a search for physiological ecology or ecological energetics. The camel is usually covered in these branches of ecology because it provides a great example of efficiency with respect to the environment. It looks like that is what you are studying.
