Can anybody help me with mitosis?i don really get that the specific "functions" of five stage of mitosis
can anybody help me with this? um... actually i just know the feature at certain stage though....
mitosisThere are 6 stages of mitosis which are Interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and cytokinesis.
Interphase :cell looked "stop" doing metabolism but actually it's replicating it's own chromosome. Prophase :Nucleolus is dissapear for a moment and nucleus looked bigger (coz it's containing double chromosomes). Metaphase :all chromosomes and their copies go to the equator (center) of the nucleus. Anaphase : Each chromosome is pulled into the pole by spindel threads that are formed in the prophase. of course between one chromosome and its copy are pulled to different pole. Telophase :Hey, the dividing of chomosomes is over and a new diafragma is formed to divide the nucleus become two parts. Cytokinesis : it's the same thing with telophase but it's happen to divide the cytoplasm of the cell. I hope this is clear enough for you
Hmmm, they specified Cytokinesis as a step in Mitosis, huh?
This is the way it was explained to me. Directly from my notes from a Bilogy course offered at the University Level. Although it is missing the Interphase portion, you can fill in the gaps with what was given by the poster before my own. •Prophase 1.Chromosomes condense 2.Centrioles to poles 3.Nucleus disappears 4.Spindle forms •Metaphase 1.Spindle attaches 2.Chromosomes line up on equator •Anaphase 1.Sister chromatids separate •Telophase 1.“pinch off” membrane 2.Nucleus reforms 3.DNA back to the original state 4.Cytokinesis
