Only one usergroup?

Postby harrypotter101 on Fri Oct 12, 2007 8:44 pm

My suggestion is maybe we should have multiple usergroups so that people can find people who they fit in with because I sure don't feel like I fit in very much. So please put why you think we should or shouldn't have multiple usergroups. :D :) :|

What exactly is a usergroup?
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

it is a feature that allow to send a message to more than one user at a time. So Now you can send a message to alle the mods if you send it to "bioteam". That's all

Oh. Well I understand why that would be useful for the mods, but why would the rest of us need a user group? Is there anything that could be accomplished through a user group that couldn't be done by posting a thread?

not really. i think some members think it is "cool" to be part of a usergroup.

I don't see what purpose a user group would serve (except of course for the mods). As for the rest of us, isn't that what the different forums are for?

I think that we should have them because it can be a bit hard to find where you fit in on this site. Example:I can't find anybody that is my age here. Almost everyone seems to be over sixteen here while I'm only thirteen.

Almost everyone is over 16 here, so you would very possibly be in a usergroup by yourself. I think most people here are high school through college age, including myself even though I'm not currently in school.

Sounds complicated... when you could just make a thread in off-topic asking who else is close to 13...
Think about it this way, you could dilineate these groups many different ways: by age, gender, general interests, biological interests, profession, hobby, golf score...

Harry I think you're doing a good enough job establishing your age and interests via your forum posting. Anyone looking for someone like you to share thoughts and interests could probably find you in a forum search. Furthermore, you could do the same. Do a search in the "how old are you" thread for people that are your age...

I really don't see a need for anything that might encourage cliquishness (is that a word? lol). One thing that I appreciate very much about this forum is the sharing of ideas and viewpoints. I enjoy getting to hear from posters ranging from young harry here to *possibly our oldest member? Certainly most outspoken oldster* charlesbrough.
