So if you close the blinds you will feel worse? Cool!

Yes, but not dramatically so. Sunlight causes the release of several "feel-good" hormones. Even if you close the blinds, your body's metabolism will still continue to release these hormones since it "knows" that it's still light out. This is why you can't completely darken a room during the day and make yourself nocturnal.

Yeah, I know about SAD, but I didn't put the two together. Hmm, all interesting ideas.
