Exercise after a heavy mealhi there !
i'm wondering why is it that we are not recommended to do exercise after a heavy meal?
Captain Kirk: Reroute blood from the digestive tracts to muscles
Scotty: She can't give you no more capt'n! Spock: Hull integrity destabilizing! Cramp imminent! Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; ~Niebuhr
Further it isnt optimal to exercise close to a meal because blood is drained to the gastrointestinal system for digestion, segmentation, absorption etc - during exercise you need blood to your muscles.
At first you'd better have a rest.... always, your body will take blood from other areas to help the stomach in digesting the food ( this is why you feel sleepy after a large meal ) plus all the exursion on a full stomach will most likely result in vomiting
