It's interesting that some books do say that dogs decended from wolves, but There is question about Chihuahua
"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these".
~ George washington Carver
Sorry to jump in here with a pretty much inrelevant question...but I'm new and i never seem to be able to figure out how to ask a question, well create my own thread where i can ask it. Can anyone help me? It also has to do with classification, because I have two text books and they are currently confusing me...
Very good conversation. To digress and answer a previous question about temperment. Remember wolves aren't necessarily more agressive, they have an order to the family which can only be expressed with emotion and action. Dog on the other had have been breed to become more docile, unless you want a more aggressive animal unfortunatley, Wolves are typically very gentile animals and have great bonds between members and can grieve.
It is hard to keep wolves due to this order and pack association, they need to be with you. You can't just leave them at home to be mindless until your return. They are more independent thinkers than domesticated dogs. I hope this helps you.
