Monosacharide transporters in small intestineHi!
Which monosachharides can be transported to blood from small intestine? Glucose, Fructose, Mannose, Fucose are ones known to me. What about allose, atrose, other aldohexoses? What about ketohexoses, like psicose, sorbose? What about pentoses, tetroses, trioses? Also, "No cell surface transporters specific for galactose, amino sugars, or sialic acids are known in higher organisms." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/bv.fc ... ection.401 Please, make some order in my brain. Thanks!
