Genetically modified plant is better in the sense, increasing productivity in short time. Immune to a lot of diseases( But if new virus or disease effect to the plant will surely wipe all of them entirely because all the plant is genetically same in the species)but i'm agree on it.
I think they should be raised. Lots of people on this planet are dying of the lack of food

but some researches have stated that GM crops cause negative effect to our health. like for example: if lemon gene is inserted in orange plant, and the person who consumes it, is alergic to lemon. then this is going to raise an issue wheather to choose GM products are not.
You are probably right mithril. Plus alergies are usually the result of a weak immune sistem. since people there have no kind of medical care natural selection still functions. So i doubt there are many of them with alergies.
A little off-topic, but everyone should know that, alergies are usually minor things like a rash or caughing, there are some people with extreme alergies. I saw a case on the news of a man that entered a coma and died after eating some legume, i can't remember what, which he was alergic to. "I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. like i said about the fertiliser issue.... (if u want to know, look it up
gm plants generally are engineered to grow better with fertilisers and all that.. which is expensive and also will put the 3rd world countries out of business. Bio Matters

The 3rd world countries are out of business. In bankrupcy for sure

accually South Africa is now doing ok.. for some anyway... and Zimbabwe is getting the white farmers back, because they finally understood that in order to have food, you need efficient production, and you can only do that with knowledge... which is why they had it in the first place... plus the white farmers employed about 400 black people whom they also sent away to be replaced by 4 black bosses.... so maybe things will go better from now on.... there still is the rest of africa anyways..
