dizygotic twins (i.e. non-identical twins) are formed if two ova are released during a menstral cycle and are fertilised separately...

monozygotic twins (i.e. identical twins) are formed from one fertilised zygote... and not too sure how this happens...

dizygotic twins are unlike usually, and growth rate differes. Monozygotic are alike mostly and growth rate of one depends upon "nothing" but same.

Agreed but monozygotic twins seem to have some 'link' between them as they mature that defies normal Science.

Oh? Really? Publications or any sort of evidence to back this up is more than welcome.

There have been studies to indicate that identicals have incredibly similar personalities (often not obvious to folks around them as they almost function as a single entitiy, each revealing different aspects). That could lead to reactions so similar that they might seem to be tapped into each others' brains.

The more metaphysical aspects I know have been tested, but the results don't support the suggestions of telepathy and such.
