Change for plant expressionHi every one
Can, if so how this plasmid be changed so the gene can be expressed in 1 small animals, 2 plants, 3 insects?
Thanks mate is there a way you can guide me. like what enzymes do I need and when and how to use them?
Yep, in fact it is more complicated than just changing the promoter, because if you want to transfer your plasmid in a eucaryote you also need to insert an eucaryotic origin of replication, otherwise it will not be able to be replicated.
What you want might be what is called a shuttle plasmid, one that contains both origin of replication, and usually a promoter only for the final host (it is easy to transfer modify and propagate the plasmid in bacteria and then you can transfer it in plant/insect/mammalian cell when you want to express your gene. Thanks guys. I found this site it makes custom Dna
They have a software that allows you to make a vector and they will make it for you afterwards but I bet its going to be very expensive. Here is the link . http://www.dna20.com/genedesigner/GD_download.html
Is this plasmid any good for plants (pblu)?
Thanks One more thing. Can I remove the gene from ecoli that is responsible for the translation in ecoli and add that to the plant so the plant can translate the plasmid?
