Question on Calvin CycleModerator: BioTeam

Question on Calvin CycleI am abit perplexed about inputs and outputs of calvin cycle.
A book says that it takes 6 complete calvin cycles with 6 molecules CO2 to produce 12 PGAL of which 10 are used in forming 6 RBPs and 1 glucose. However, in the diagram, they show 3 molecules of CO2 as an input. If 3 CO2 were input to one cycle of Calvin cycle, then 6 Calvin cycle would consume 18 molecules of CO2, wouldn't it? Can anyone explain this please?
