What causes homosexuality?

I'm just wondering. Is this something genetic? Are you born with it? Or is it something that develops later in life?

Some say being exposed to certain plastics while pregnant could cause a homosexual child.

I dont really know how but would love if someone could explain it...

homosexuality may be caused imbalaces in testosterone/estrogen ratio this imbalances may be caused in gene regulation during developmental stages.i think it might be associated with liver problems. those peoplefrequently suffered illness in there childhood till juvenile may be homosexuals.[/i]
