Does apple contain chloride ions?
Does pork contain chloride ions?
What will happen to them if I use silver nitrate solution to test them?

It would be very unusual for any living or once living thing not to have chloride ions. It is probably the most common counterion in biological systems. Now, how much Cl- there is and whether you can "extract" enough from a sample of pork to get a successfull AgNO3 test to work, I couldn't say for sure. The principle of the test is that AgNO3 is a soluble silver salt while AgCl is extremely insoluble. So if you add a few drops of a 1N (or so) solution of AgNO3 to a solution containing Cl- ions, you should see a fine, white ppt. But you've got to have enough Cl- ions if you're going to actually see the ppt and it could be masked by solids in the sample if you haven't take pains to filter or sediment them out before doing the test.

Thank you very much! I am not quite sure if there is ppt.
I attached the photo of the test tube of pork tissue after adding the solution.

It's hard for me to see anything on my screen. There seems to be fuzzy white "somethings" around 5 o'clock, but you can't say by me what it is. Why not AgCl, I guess. You can see better than I. Try it a couple of times and see if you get the same result, or maybe try with different amounts of sample and see if you get more or less of the stuff.

Thanks a million! Do you know if apple contain chloride ions?

Gd question. depending on the type of apple, they may or may not contain chloride ion. chloride ion level changes as an apple develops. but again it may not be the case for your type of apple so it would be a gd idea if you begin by checking the type of your apple.

Gd Luck!!!
