ER transmembrane proteinsHow are the first transmembrane proteins entered into the ER?

ok thanks for the reply muraceae, so is it safe to say that protein translocators (i.e. Sec61) are inserted into the membrane via GPI anchors? I understand how translocators recognize an ER signal sequence to insert a translocator into the membrane, but how is that first translocator entered into the ER?
