- Construction of an open-access database that integrates cross-reference information from the transcriptome and proteome of immune cells
We have successfully developed a web-based platform for theintegration of quantitative immunological transcriptomic andproteomic data. RefDIC was implemented with user-friendly queryinterfaces and enabled us to search and visualize both mRNAand protein profiling data for various types of immune cellsat a glance. All of the information and data, including experimentalraw data, are freely available via the Internet. Because thisinformational platform for cross-referencing data has an expandablestructure, it can easily incorporate public data. RefDIC continuesto grow in terms of the quantity of mRNA and protein profilingdata available, and it continues to integrate more relevantinformation for genes and proteins, such as cis-elements includingpromoter sequences, and data for protein–protein interactions.
